Should be interesting. Didn’t realize I had a “Texas Special”. Mine is quite a bit plainer and rougher but that adds to the charm, right?

I didn’t know “Texas Special” was a “thing”. I suspect more of a auction sales gimmick than anything else. I have a 95 short rifle with a 20″ barrel coming from AZ next week. I think they were referred to as “Arizona Specials” back in the day…Right?
Well, it is literally true… in that, it exists in writing
By the way, that ’95 short rifle sounds intriguing. More so as it is an Arizona Special.
.30/40 I assume?

Yes, my 20″ short rifles are now officially “Wyoming Specials”. Although my 20″ examples are not deluxe so that’s a nice little rifle but very late.

Does anyone know the date of the article in the magazine? T/R
I can’t find it, and I’m wondering if the phrase “Texas Special” is made up phrasing, as there is not article titled with that name that I can find.
Sincerely,
Maverick
