Should be interesting. Didn’t realize I had a “Texas Special”. Mine is quite a bit plainer and rougher but that adds to the charm, right?

I didn’t know “Texas Special” was a “thing”. I suspect more of a auction sales gimmick than anything else. I have a 95 short rifle with a 20″ barrel coming from AZ next week. I think they were referred to as “Arizona Specials” back in the day…Right?![]()
Well, it is literally true… in that, it exists in writing
By the way, that ’95 short rifle sounds intriguing. More so as it is an Arizona Special.
.30/40 I assume?

Yes, my 20″ short rifles are now officially “Wyoming Specials”. Although my 20″ examples are not deluxe so that’s a nice little rifle but very late.

Does anyone know the date of the article in the magazine? T/R
I can’t find it, and I’m wondering if the phrase “Texas Special” is made up phrasing, as there is not article titled with that name that I can find.
Sincerely,
Maverick
