This just ended yesterday. Why is the price so high? Red lettering? The original box? I have one in similar condition without the red lettering and the box. What would mine be worth?

Nice gun, seems someone got a bit excited about this gallery gun but if it’s legit he’ll be hard pressed to find a nicer one. Using your description, the Red Book and this auction information I’d guess your rifle is worth somewhere between $2500 and $7500. These are crazy times we’re living in and it seems marketing has more to to with selling prices than the actual merits of the firearm. Big auctions are getting incredible prices these days and may be the best way to get top dollar for your Gallery Gun until this bubble bursts. JMHO opinion, of course. Worth every penny you paid for it!

Wow. I have a 62A I inherited from my great grandfather. I don’t have the box or red lettering, but at that price, I might be able to get over the sentimental value of the gun and list it for sale. That’s crazy.
Crazy even considering box & red lettering, but if yours lacks those features, along with the special gallery mag tube, you’ll be hugely disappointed. For values of standard 62As, check sold prices on Gunbroker.
