Looking for opinions on this rifle. I’ve learned a lot from this sight, but on this rifle I can’t tell if it has been reblued.the muzzle looks unblued, the barrel address has some “white” around the lettering. I do see a screw or 2 that’s not original, but other than that I can’t tell. I value originality, bore condition then overall condition, as I do shoot what I currently have, and hope to hunt with a few in the future. Paul. This is Gunbroker item number. 994412601

I gave up buying guns on gunbroken. I buy guns to shoot and they must have near perfect bores. I’ve always been lied to about bore condition, very disappointing..
I’ll bet you don’t buy from the big auction houses either – at least not through the internet/phone.

I have an advantage there. I live 25 miles from RIA. I check the bores of everything I’m interested in. Out of maybe 3 dozen guns I find 2 or 3 guns with good bores. I can’t believe the prices buyers pay for run of the mill Winchesters with sewer pipes for bores. Doesn’t seem to make a difference in price.

I wouldn’t necessarily call that an advantage as everything there seems to go for full retail, and then some! Which means I have always come home empty handed every time I have bid at RIA.
Yep, retail prices it seems. But, iowa isnt a rifle culrure. I have only found a m95 locally in a gunshop and one m93 marlin at a gunshow for rational prices.
I know a lot of dealers that travel there to buy stock for their shop. I don’t know how they can make a profit in that particular buy sell scenario.
