I liked this part:
“FYI, I am the only accredited, certified firearm appraiser in the USA and have 45 years experience. “
I’m guessing he is the accrediting and certifying body in addition to being a legend in his own mind. Didn’t notice the barrel bob but the butt is wrong. I suspect he and I have the same publisher; Avery. (They manufacture 3-ring notebooks.)

That’s all I have to say…other than I’m sure not going to buy one of those books.
What books? All I see is that long-winded BS pertaining to the ’94.
This is the one book the seller wrote (in its 3rd edition) – https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/standard-catalog-of-winchester-firearms-joseph-cornell/1018009177
He asked me to call him to discuss my questions, and I intend to do so tomorrow… it should be an interesting conversation.

Hope his books don’t contain as much creative writing/imaginating as does his description of that gun.
I’d rather own this one. It definitely has more “Rarity Factors” than the “super” auction piece.
Oh, I do own this one! I consider it to be in exceptional condition (for its age). I’m surprised the Museum of Modern Art in New York has yet to contact me to borrow it for a decade or so. Definitely an Artisan’s pet.
Googled that name. Not so glowing reviews.

I beg to differ with you guys..I think this guy is right on the money..It just so happens that I own a’94 rifle in the SUPER RARE 25-35 cal and it has the incredibly uncommon oct barrel.. and judging from his rifle in “exceptional” condition mine is practically Mint! I believe I will have him do an appraisal, and retire on the proceeds! anxious to here from Bert after their phone conversation…..

Hello Bert. Was wondering if you were able to have a conversation with Joseph Cornell regarding the 25-35 he has for sale and referenced in the above post? Thanks.
No I have not, at least not yet. I did tell him (in an email) a little bit about my background in Winchester Arms & History.

I think I recall having glanced at the book one time while book shopping in Barnes & Noble for my wife. It was as good and well written as the books by Dean K. Boorman. https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-history-of-winchester-firearms-dean-k-boorman/1004481565?ean=9781585743070 I have a copy of this one, I think someone christmas gifted it to me because they knew I liked “Old Guns”. Still don’t know why I have it. He must have known the same photographer as Wilson, every picture is literally copy and paste from Wilson’s books.
I wish I could make some money like these guys with their Paint by Numbers writing style. What a waste, I thought about going out and planting a tree just replace the one they wasted on the paper printing those books.
Bert, please enlighten us on your spell binding conversations with the “Expert”.
Sincerely,
Maverick
P.S. Once I do getting around to finishing any of my writings, please be blunt with me about them when reviewing. If they even have a mere resemblance of those type of books, I’ll go home and rethink my life choices and refund your money while I’m at it.
