Hello there,

My father in law inherited a 1876 carbine 45-75 from his father many years ago but long story short he no longer has it.

Lately I’ve been busy learning what I can about the Winchester model 1876 as my plan is to put a few ads out and hopefully be able to find the carbine he once owned, and if nothing else hopefully learn its serial number.

I’m here in Queensland Australia, so my guess is there are not alot around.

Purely out of curiosity I’m wondering if anyone can tell me how many 22″ saddle ring carbines Winchester actually made?

The Winchester Model 1876 “Centennial” Rifle

Is probably the best source, outside of contacting the Cody Firearms Museum and having them do you a count of the records. I recommend the book highly.

Sincerely,

If your into the 76’s, the Houze book is a must have.   Adding up the carbines by caliber in the Houze book, they total 9,831 carbines.
