I’ve greatly enjoyed the Winter 2023 magazine. Several great articles such as Bert Hartman’s update on the Model 64 and Tim Tomlinson’s research on the prototype .46 OFW were quite interesting and informative.
I was really tickled by the Ben Lilly article and his use of the .33 WCF. That made my day. He interchanged use (the .33 WCF for the big stuff) with a M1894 .30-30. Not to complain but the icing on the cake would have been had his ’94 been chambered in .32 Special! What a character Ben was and even more astounding was his level of physical fitness and hardiness.
Regarding Jeremy’s .45-70, I found myself coveting that rifle. Even though Jeremy’s article is about one particular rifle, a person can glean lot about the model 1886 (such as changes made during production).
Very enjoyable – thanks to all who contribute to the WACA magazine
