Hey all, I’m new to the forum and am potentially buying my first Winchester. I’ve been a lever gun fan since I was a kid and have owned a few, but over the weekend an opportunity to buy an old Winchester presented itself to me. My girlfriend’s Uncle has his great grandpa’s 1910 model 94 that he’d like to sell. Its a takedown model in 25-35. Id like to buy it, but am curious as to what a fair offer would be. He mentioned that he’d like $1500 but would give me a break to keep it in the family. On another forum I was told a price of $800, but figured I’d check around as well. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Reciever has little to no blueing left, but is not pitted at all. Barrel seems to have most of its blueing left. Feed tube has patina’d. Wood is in good shape with no apparent added varnish and no chunks/gouges/pieces missing. Octagon barrel.

Hard to see much up close detail from the photos but looks to be an honest 94 in decent condition.
How’s the bore? If good $800>$1000 seems about right, especially if the uncle has any family history on the rifle which is always interest me.
