I am seriously considering the purchase of the above rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor.  The Super Grade is beautiful, and I am wondering about the accuracy of this version of the Model 70.  I don’t handload so will be shooting factory ammo.  I own a Model 70 HB Varmint, purchased new in the early 90’s; it easily shoots sub-moa groups.  I know the Super Grade was not designed as a bench rifle, but what “typical” accuracy could I expect with premium ammo?

You should look up Ron Spomer.  Lots of YouTube videos and articles.  He will answer any question you have, I’m sure.

The Model 70 rifles currently being made in Portugal by FN had some variable quality issues when entire production shifted to there from North Csrolina.

Knowing FN, I expect that has been resolved. However, if I were going to buy one, I would try to buy one from a reputable shop with an inventory of them from which to choose and that had an on-site gunsmith.

That is being ultra conservative but, at a minimum, I would not buy one sight unseen.

Out of box, you should expect to get 1.25 to 1.5 MOA, at least, I’d guess.
