I bought a model 88 and took it apart to check it out. Does the stock supposed to have two holes drilled in the butt end? I thought only the featherweights had this feature. Also, I need an original buttplate for the gun. Any help would be appreciated.

A useful website for used firearms and parts. Parts should ship cross border without issue but full firearms have lots of red tape. I have seen many original Winchester parts for sale in the parts section.

The first hole makes the stock lighter, the second is for the stock bolt, which holds the recoil block.
