I see the new pictures and I can see the case colors. Is the trigger case colored or is that rust spots?

No rust or pits on this one. Trigger and hammer have the mottled colored also..kinda hard to see however. Sorry but my picture taking is pretty bad.

1873man: Next time we have the rifle out, I will try to take a better picture of the trigger for you. On the other hand, I may have someone who is a better photograper and has a better camera than me take the pixs.

I’m guessing you are using a cell phone to take pictures.

1873man: Kodak box camera……just kidding.

Here is an auction picture (hope it comes out as the auction is closed) that shows the moddled trigger colors in the close up view. I think this sold for many k’s of $$$???

That 73 sold for $24,000 plus the juice. One of many I was watching.

GULP !!!!!!!!!!!! I dont think I will shoot it again….and maybe put a 4th coat of Renaissance wax polish……can’t believe it. Ours is just as good a shape with less scratches…..going back into storage for sure. I know ours was shot at least 3 times…wish I hadn’t! No way someone pays that kind of $$ for a .22 short………blows my mind. Some kind of joke?

Edit: Wait, this is a joke…look at the 4th pic down, showing the open chamber…all scratched up, dirty and the brass is corroded……yet the discription says "may be unfired"……….
