A few years ago I acquired a limited run Winchester for NRA customers. It is a Model 70 Featherweight chambered in 280 Remington. The letter from Winchester states it was a limited run for dealers, and they had to pre-order. One of the notes states there were only 1500 made (but it is hand written). The model year per the letter is 1985. It is unfired, and I have all the paperwork, including original receipt. Any information, or what kind of value would be appreciate it. Considering selling it but I am having trouble finding anything on the web. Thanks in advance. Scott
Scott,
Your U.S. Repeating Arms manufactured Model 70 is outside of the interest of the vast majority of the WACA members. For the most part, only the Pre-1964 production Winchester Model 70 rifles are considered to be “collectable”, and are of interest. I have no idea what the value range might be for a modern Model 70 in a non Winchester cartridge chambering might be,
