OfflineI have one. Dad gave it to me on my 16th birthday back in 1962. Same configuration as the Mertz guns. It shoots very nicely. I will post serial numbers and pictures when I can later on. It is not marked with and S. Dad said he got it at the Hudson’s sporting goods store in New York City back in about 1940.

Definitely please do post several photos of the rifle. It won’t be one of the blue tinted SN’s since those were in use in during 1970 by Warner Bros.

OfflineThere’s one coming up for sale at the live LS&B auction in Cody in May. It’s a particular rare one as it is a smoothbore. Very nice condition as well. Mark gives a brief history of these, “movie gun” rifles. Now’s your chance to have one for yourself.
It appears withing the first few minutes of the video. Lots of other cool stuff. This would be quite the auction to attend:
