I have a 1927 Model 94 SRC that has a 19-5/16″ barrel and a ~7-3/4″ forearm. I’m looking for any thoughts on this configuration. As far as I know the barrel is original and has not been cut. The rear sight dovetail is measuring about 2-3/8″ from the receiver and the front sight post is ~1-1/8″ from the muzzle. It’s possible the forearm is a replacement as the fit to the barrel band is not perfect, but it is what was on the gun when I got it. I’ve got a bunch of pictures posted here:

If you scroll down, you’ll see the shape of the gun when I got it. I was given to my dad by a friend as an inside joke. Apparently, it originated from a hunting cabin in Alaska.
The barrel is actually 20″ as measured from the muzzle to the bolt face (it appears that you did not measure the threaded barrel shank). The forend stock does not appear to be the original piece, or it has been shortened somewhat. Your work to resurrect the gun thus far has been quite respectable… and it will be complete with a correct 9⅛” forend stock.
