Hey everyone! I purchased this model 94 SRC from a used gun shop (impulse buy) and I had a few questions about it. I was curious what everyone’s thoughts about the condition of it is. It looks like the previous owner gouged out part of the sight. I was planning to hunt with it but it’s extremely inaccurate. Is it worth trying to hunt with or is it more of a collector’s piece? Any advice/info would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, my news for you is rather grim.
The graded condition is at best “Fair”. More specifically, it has been 100% refinished by somebody with marginal skills. The s/n appears to be 1011754 which indicates that it is a December 1927 production Model 94 Carbine.
Because it has been refinished, it has almost zero value in the collector market. If it is truly “extremely inaccurate”, it has very minimal value in the “shooter” market. As a parts donor, it is worth a few hundred $$.
