HI! After a half dozen or so 30 Gov Krags bought & sold, I find myself with an XS of 30-30 bullets & brass. I purchased an 1895 Chinrester with a “good” bore but with a stock broken at the wrist. Seeing that my 36 or so Winchesters shot REALLY well with bores/rifles varying from new to boat anchor, i figured this one in 30 Gov to be a shooter. The stock is splintered at the wrist like someone sat on it when leaned against a log. I have one friend who can repair/refinish stocks or guns and one who clains to have a V.G. stock which he replaced. Have not heard back from either. Is there an “Old West Scrounger” of Winchester wood??? Any help appreciated. I REALLY need to shoot this beast, the last of my collection. THANK YOU!!! Mark “Dirty Doc” Zachary..Confused
