This 2 barrel set just sold at the February 13 Redding Auction for $3,400.

I know the round barrels don’t bring the premium as the octagon barrels, but the these prices seem very low to me for a 2 barrel set.  I thought the $4,500 price was low.  Am I missing something?

They would have likely brought more if they were in the letterable range, just an opinion.  Not a bad deal on the price, even if your just considering the cost of one rifle, plus the additional takedown assembly, and the carrying case.

I thought it was light on condition.

I agree, the price does seem low.  I think it is worth the price.  Maybe a combination of condition, and not being in the letterable range kept the price down?

The gun sold too cheap even if it is short on condition and has round barrels. Where are you going to get another one without spending a lot of money. The problem with the gun is at some point when you show it to anyone the conversation will always have to include “the guys on the WACA Forum think the gun is right”. We all see so many guns that are not right anymore and so many of us are cautious. I would rather have this gun for the money than the one which went for $60k. I have never personally owned a multi-barrel Winchester but if I was younger and looking, I would want one in the serial range which would letter.
