Thanks Bert.  The ARMAX shows 110 matted round rifle barrels in the Winchester ledgers,  would like to know how many are the Extra Light Weight with the ramp front sight.

That is a very nice old Winchester… tons of options and special order features!

On the rifle Bert pointed out on GB, item (529679965). I checked ARMAX and it lists only 17 matted octagon barrels were ordered in 22″. That alone would make this rifle super rare in my opinion. Not to mention the other special order features of this rifle, could make it one of a kind.

My 1892 in .25-20 Cody letters with “set trigger” It physically has close coupled triggers.

Would the letter specify the close coupled or would “set trigger” be accurate? No pun intended.

Thanks for any input.

Best regards,

Jeff,

The close coupled set trigger was the only “set” trigger offered on the Model 1892, so Yes, the “set trigger” entry on your CFM letter is accurate.

Hello Jeff,

I am conducting a research survey of the Model 1892 and would like to add your rifle into my data if possible.  Could I get the full serial number and a series of photos of the gun?  Please include the areas of stamped writing on the barrel and upper tang.  I will be happy to answer any additional questions which you may have.

Thanks

Michael
