Thanks for the contribution – it was serialized in January 1931.

I have a 62A pump that was build in 1947. I don’t have the S\N handy at this point, but if you want pic’s and S\N I can post it. If not, no big deal.
If the serial number is 800000+, we definitely would like to here more about it.

Thanks for the information.
Just a note of interest, According to the serial data available here the receiver was serialized in 1929. It had a 38 barrel on it. Must have sat in the bottom of the parts bin for awhile………. No evidence of barrel change or Circle P mark on barrel, matching finish/wear on receiver and barrel

Interesting, but not all that surprising. I suspect that a substantial number of the 800,000+ serial numbered Model 90s & 06s have later dated barrels on them.
Thanks for the updated information.

I was just made aware of this. I have a Model 62 purchased by my father in 1952 or 1953 (I have the Manual and Bill of Sale, $47.40 + tax) in near mint condition (with a scope installed the same year of purchase).
I looked into the serial number and found it did not match any records. Now, thanks to this thread I have my answer. The trigger guard has the serial #853647 and the receiver has the serial #853647B. Please let me know if this is of any interest!

Definitely interested, Steve,
Is it chambered for 22 Short or Short/Long/Long Rifle?
Does it have Model 62 barrel markings or 62A?
Does it have a Model 90 Flat Spring action (2 screws, 2 pins) or Model 62A Coil spring action?
Is the Hammer Checkered or Serrated?
Does it have the small 10-groove slide handle or the larger one?
The receiver was serialized in December, 1940.
Thanks,
EW
Bert, in case you do not have Model 1890 .22 Long Rifle SN 812700, it is on a GB auction now at https://www.gunbroker.com/item/863406647
