What all sizes of primers did Winchester make before the ‘20’s….. I’ve got full boxes of 1-1/2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5-1/2, 6 and 7.

No.1 – 1916

No. 108 – 1921 

No. 2 (3 Legged Anvil) – 1874

No.2 (2 Legged Anvil) – 1878

Orcutt Primer – 1884

No. 2 Improved – 1885

No. 2 1/2 – 1903

No. 2 1/2 (W Marked) – 1903

No. 3 (W Marked) – 1893

No.4 (W Marked) – 1896 

W over 4 (Protected Primer) – 1906

New No.4 – 1904

New No.4 1/2 – 1903

No. 5 1/2 (Improved) – 1902?

No.6 – 1896

No. 6.45 BC – 1919

I believe they also made Berdan primers too but haven’t been able to locate a box yet.

Too many. On top of that some worked with BP and others worked with smokeless but few worked well with both. I’m glad they got that sorted out.
