Matt, I did some research on this oil bottle and found the patent for the special designed box was issued Jan. 1840. Consequently this bottle  and box could be 85 years old. Don

I’d say that tracks for 1940, for sure. 

I gather 1840 is a typo, as WRACo didn’t even exist in 1840.

Yes it was made during the war. I have a magazine article that talks about different company changing things for the War. Winchester started to use glass bottles to help with the war time.
