Just took delivery today of a new reproduction of an original Henry gun rack I commissioned through my good friend Shawn Zotnyia. Well Done!!

It makes me wonder if yours is the only one ever made or if these were available through Winchester? Either way, what a find.
That is a very nice display rack. I like the picture with one of Shawn’s Winchester dealer cases in the back ground, of which I have one too. He does very nice work.

Chuck I think the original one now housed at Cody may well be a one of a kind. I spoke with the owners son in 2011 and he had no knowledge of where his father acquired it, only that he wanted it donated to the museum. In my quest to find a builder to commission it, nobody accepted the challenge until I met Shawn through the pyramid case venture.
I also spoke with Danny Michael at CFM about some actual measurements. He had no knowledge of another one, and mentioned he suspected the accompanying letter signed by Henry to be as valuable as the rack
Bert, good luck with getting a couple built as Shawn said mine will be a one of a kind as well. He said he broke the mold.

That’s true Steve. I only staged the lever guns, I elected to reserve the other action styles for a future setting. Unfortunately if a Henry makes an appearance I suspect it will be a fine third model from ’65 owned by a friend locally.
