I know it’s hot here in Texas but I’m going shooting tomorrow. After chasing a few clays I want to check out the Tasco Unertl copy 24X scope I wrestled away from Steve at the Cody show. Bad news; the gun I want to put it on is probably a few layers down in a horizontal gun safe. Good news; the gun is probably a few layers down in a horizontal gun safe.

Found a few extra .22’s, good thing because my proposed Target Model 75 victim was not only sans sights but also didn’t have the scope bases my overly optimistic brain seemed to recall. Worked out OK, 52C had some and wasn’t using them…looks much better without them IMHO. One 6-48 plug somehow escaped, good thing I keep spares. Don’t know what that Sporter is doing there, might as well let it tag along.

Thanks, was a bit disappointing. My 75 shot well enough but was unable to get enough vertical adjustment. Wondered if the bases from the 52C were a different height so I took the sights off the 52 and installed the scope and bases. Same result. After my nap I’ll see if there are any numbers on the scope bases. Also forgot to adjust sear engagement so will do that as well. Never got around to shooting the good Eley stuff but the Norma match was well under 1/2” @ 50 yards.
Also got the news the club lost a couple members, one name that may ring a bell is Michael Plaxco. He was a S&W LE rep and shot on their pistol, later 3-Gun and other teams. Damn good shot and almost as entertaining as his partner Jerry.
As they say, even a bad day shooting is better than a good day at work.
