I recently bought two batches of 38-55 bullets from them. It took nearly two months to get them, but they were delivered to me. The bullets appear to be high quality, and more importantly, they can be custom ordered from .375″ – .381″.

This is the reloading information for the 33 WCF in my old Hornady reloading manual;
My choice in the past has been IMR 3031.

Bert, what issue is the Hornady manual that has the loading data for the 33WCF?

It is the 1st Edition Volume II, dated June 1973.

The latest Hornady I have handy is the 9th, and it still shows data for the 33 Winchester. May be the same data…is is all older powders (H4198 and 4895, IMR 3031 and 4064, WW748).
Can’t compare with the early versions of the Hornady as they are all in storage.

I remembered this thread from a while ago. I’ve been through a few boxes the lever evolution factory loads, 25-35 and 45-70 I’m very interested in making clones. Hodgdonon website tool doesn’t take the powder past the 444 Marlin. I think that’s what the original post was about. Reading back through the thread I think it’s 3031 that should be the choice. The thread ends there. I’m planning to make a flat nose , rather than rubber tipped. It would be nice if someone could tell their experience between 3031, 4198, 4895 if you’ve done it. Would save me a lot of $$ figuring it out for myself.
