Buffalo Arms just notified they have this back in stock. It is expensive however at nearly $5.50/rd with shipping which makes up roughly 20% of the cost for 1 box of 20 rds. The cost is less per box if multiples are purchased and I’m sure the shipping would be less as well. Their listing mentions correctly headstamped brass when available but I can’t be certain what they used this time.

Hey, at least it’s available.

This is not much more than just the brass at current prices if you could even find it.  I recently bought 2 boxes of Bertram for $90 per 20.

45-75 cases with the original spec thin rim to chamber in original ’76s, are very hard to find. After a lot of work, I acquired 40 of them at substantial expense from a couple different sources for my original NWMP SRC. 20 of them are original brass which I’ll need to anneal before using.

It wasn’t me, either.  Guess I’ll have to soldier on with trimmed and resized .348 W-W brass.

I’ve got 60 rounds of 45-75 Bertram brass and they all shoot fine.  The only problem I have had is some 45-90 brass that the rim is too thick to load in my highwall but will load fine in my 86.

I don’t shoot much centerfire but according to the owner of Buffalo Arms (nice guy) you can purchase them by placing a “backorder”, the next run your order will be filled and the remainder will be put for sale on the website.  That is what happened here, there were a few boxes left over from the previous backorder fulfillment run and, of course, they went quick.  You can be at the front of the line next time with an existing backorder.  Just an FYI.

Hi,

I have a Chaparral Arms 1886 Win. that shoots Jamison and .348 Win. brass just fine.

I don’t wish to hijack this post, but just wanted to let you guys know the success that I have had with these two options.

I did have trouble sizing and loading some .348 Win brass…..they collapsed. Bummer!

I just luv that rifle!
