Probably only Big Larry & myself will appreciate the workmanship. Count up the hours spent not only on the wood carving, but on acid-etching (I think) the trigger guard. Heavy “block” fore-end means built as a prone gun, so reasonable to assume “creator” was a serious shooter; maybe his intention was to distract competitors with his showpiece.

Larry says he’s stopped collecting anything but S&Ws (I’m skeptical), & my SS check won’t accommodate another 52, so I won’t bid against you for this “unique” specimen.
They did all that work and forgot to fix the crack in the stock!

It’s certainly a pile of something. I usually favor a lot of up close, in-focus auction photography but this specimen could use some Gaussian blur.
