Hi Alan,
Sorry for the slow response, I have been off the air for awhile.
The G7505 as described in Winchester documents dated 1940 was the standard Model 75 with the Winchester 93B “shark fin” front sight and Lyman 57E rear sight.
The G7505 was the version supplied to the US Army as training rifles for WWII. There are several variations of the WWII U.S. government contract, early rifles had the standard high comb while later contract rifles had a lower comb. There were at least 3 different contract batches supplied to the Army in WWII.
I own a number of these but can’t get to any of mine right now for photos. I will try to find some photos of others to post for you in the meanwhile.

Thanks Jeff
My inquiry relates to an order in 1944 for 100 of these rifles from the British Purchasing Commission, place with Winchester. This is the model description given in the order.
This is a very late reference to the BPC as Lend Lease had kicked in long before this. It is not clear from the records if the order was actually fulfilled.

Hi Alan,
That is interesting, I would love to see a copy of the BPC order.
Although Winchester also had a mid-war follow-up order from the Army for replacement parts for the previous U.S. G7505R contract rifles I doubt the order for 100 complete rifles was filled for the BPC. Winchester was having problems getting the 57E receiver sight from Lyman in 1941 (they needed at least 15,000 sight units) and even temporarily ceased using that sight on their other models to have enough to fulfill the contracts. Since the outsourced Lyman sight was the choke point for G7505R production commencing in late 1941/1942 I doubt by 1944 there were 100 extra sights still in inventory to fulfill a G7505R order for the BPC. That is just my guess though.
When in 1944 was the BPC order placed? Interestingly, according to the Winchester polishing room records, there were 109 Model 75 receivers serialized between 10/31/45 and 11/19/45 and then 18 more the week of 12/5/45. Those are the only production records for 1944 and 1945 for the Model 75 (no 75 receivers were serialized in 1944). That 1945 Model 75 serial number range was 48970-49097 in case that matches up with any of your documentation.
Best Regards,
Jeff

For anyone that’s interested in this subject check out forum member Louis Luttrell’s post number 6 in the Shotgun section the original post being about the Model 37 shotgun. Link below:

As the order as it appears in the Winchester ledger does not have confirmation written in red ink under it, I understand that the order may not have been full-filled, so Jeff your guess looks to be correct. I will email you the relevant page, off forum.
