Today I ‘bit the bullet’ and disassembled my model 77 Winchester. Fortunately I had just obtained a Model 77 Manual, because even with the Manual, the reassembly took 3 hrs of frustration to finally do it! I don’t think I will ever take this rifle apart again! Dang…..well, I felt purty proud of myself to stick with it til I finally got it together! Anybody else have fun with the Model 77 reassembly?
Welcome to the WACA forum!
Yep, the 77 can be a bit frustrating and tricky sometimes. Unless ABSOLUTELY necessary I just blast out the crud from the receiver with solvent and compressed air and run a boresnake down the barrel.
Mods may want to move this to the Rim Fire/Rimfire section.
