I came into a Winchester 62a that has a 4 digit serial number….given the low range of the serial number Im thinking this is a Win 62 lower with a 62a upper…seems the only way this could work?

Any input appreciated

Simply look at the lower tang, a 62 will have 3 screw holes and a 62A will only have 1 due to the change in the main spring design. What do the proof marks on the barrel closest to the receiver look like, is it just the wp mark or is there a P with a circle around it or possibly both?
