I have a fine 62-A. Because of my poor eye sight, I cannot see the front post clearly. I have seen several front sight with an ivory(white) bead. What is the correct height and is there one by Marbles or Lyman? I have seen some on E-Bay that are for a Stevens. If it has a 3/8 dovetail will any front sight work. Also where can I find a steel buttplate for a 62 or 62-A?

Thanks

I believe you need one that is .360 high. Any 3/8 will fit but you might not be able to adjust the rear sight to get it to zero. A little white paint might solve your problem. You can try Jack First in Rapid City SD for parts. Good Luck Jay
