Was over on the S & W Forum when a member noted the completed closing auction price of $5,024 for an unopened Model 61 with serial number on the box of 335361. The consensus from members there was no-way would they fork over that kind of money for something they could not see/handle/verify. I know twobit is the respected man regarding Model 61’s…I wonder what his thoughts are on this. Ward’s had an estimated value of $6,500-$10,000 on that rifle. I’d like to know what the buyer plans to do with that rifle.
