The Canon find was awesome. Today I found another picture box 62…. Forearm has some scaring, but it’s all there & the box matches… 
That’s awesome Ben! Serious question, would it be sacrilegious to swap the scarred forearm?

I don’t know of anyone that would be too upset if the replacement was factory and the wood color and grain matched…. I’d bet our resident M.O.M. wouldn’t get his undies in a bundle about that. 😂

I would be more inclined to clean-up the slide handle stock still on it… any talented wood guy can make those warts disappear without much effort.

Nice find Ben. I too have a Model 62A with the original picture box. Mine was made in June of 1942 and has a steel serrated butt plate, like what was furnished with the model 55 and pre war 94’s.
