I hate to be picky but the description might be a tad inaccurate. I don’t usually pick apart sellers wares but I sometimes find myself testing my ability to recognize refinished guns so I will be less apt to be fooled when making a deal in person. This one falls into the category of too good to be true including barrel liner.

Hi Darrin,
Coincidentally, I sure learned a huge lesson regarding restored/refinished guns. Read my post in the “What’s new” section of this forum titled “1886 in 45-90.” Thanks to all the experts on this forum that saved me from making $10K+ mistake. Fortunately, the seller I dealt with is willing to take it back. That model 1890 looks to fall in the same category as that 1886 I was snookered on. Sure has been a learning experience….

I agree about the refinished metal but quite honestly I missed the barrel liner. Good eye, Darrin! Very nice reblue, but still a reblue, color and general appearance just not right. Could be the photos but I don’t think so.
