Hello Everyone,
I’m a new member from Idaho and super excited to be part of this group. I’m primarily interested in content related to Winchester .22 rifles. I’ve been involved collecting the 1906 Expert Model .22 for many years along with my father putting together a decent collection. I hope to share and gain knowledge of this and other Winchester models. I have included pictures of this 1906 Expert display that I’ve recently reassembled. It was last shown at the 2002 Cody show. Now that my career is winding down and I’m heading into retirement it will be nice to network with other like-minded Winchester enthusiasts. I plan to show this 06’Expert collection at the 2025 Cody show. I will continue to post more follow up content of the 06′ Expert in the future. Cheers!

Welcome, Daren! Looking forward to meeting you in Cody and seeing your display. Congratulations on your upcoming retirement, I’ve been retired seven months now and the only advice I can give you is be ready for anything! What drew you to the 1906 Expert?

Hey Mike. I retired in 1997. Now, our Governor is proposing legislation to remove tax on Social Security.
I used to do displays at some of the bigger shows. Mostly US Militaria as I am a former Marine. I am a retired Teamster and have a good pension. Life is good. I am able to continue with my gun collecting hobby.
Daren has picked a great rifle to show and enjoy. I have a nickel trimmed and blued model 1906 Expert. I personally can see why he likes them. Big Larry
Any NICE M1906 is a great find. 99.9% of them online are junk. Best bet is a good gun show. Certain auctions too. I tried to build a nice collection for about two years, but gave up, not before finding a nice and quite scarce stainless model. Not a re bbl. but one as shipped. Paid a bunch for it, but when would I find another, especially in the shape of this one. Wards Auction for over $2,000. It’s the highlight of my 10 gun collection. I’ll bet the OP has been collecting M1906’s for quite some time. Big Larry
