While examining the 1903 roll marks in another thread I remembered picking up this 1904 years ago simply because it was roll marked twice and are exactly the same. The orientation is 180 degrees and the same distance from the muzzle. The lower stamping is partially covered by the stock, removed for the pictures.

Anyone else?

With the repetitive inspections Winchesters went through, almost after every manufacturing step,  I wonder if this example was sold/given/taken to/by an employee. 

Its an interesting 1904 that’s for sure.
