Sometimes it is fun to look at old gun publications and prices – cold and snowy day here in the frozen north so I have been going thru some old CADA Gun Journals – this one is an ad from the April 1993 issue. I could force myself to buy a 98% 1892 SRC in 25-20 for $2600 or a 97% 1892 SRC in 44-40 for $3875. How about a stainless barrel Model 1894 carbine for $1925? This was before the internet existed, before cell phones and when folks still had land-line phones.
I would get the GunList subscription sent next day and hope you were the first to get it. Many times I would call and find that someone bought the gun yesterday.

yep – and guys like me in Alaska were a week behind the lower 48 on 4th class mail – still are. I always used to go to the Vegas and Denver shows every year so I could at least be on level footing with everybody else!
