The 2022 TGCA Fall Show is in the books and some mighty fine folks are on their way home with some very nice guns. Seemed to be quite a few Colts at this show and if I had been so inclined I could have scored some decent Colts for a very good price at last night’s auction conducted by the CEO of RIA. There were a few very nice Winchesters but little that I was interested in. I did manage to score a well-worn Model 1903 (20” barrel, 1913) and an otherwise unremarkable Model 61 (1956, grooved receiver) in better than 80% condition.
it seems WACA/TGCA member Dale Dorman has a sawmill at his new place and he made a nice display stand from some wildfire recovery Alligator Juniper wood. I was fortunate to be the high bidder last night on what I hope to be just the first of at least several similar pieces.

Thanks, Roger. Dale is a California escapee and he’s really enjoying his freedom.
