Hello,
I will join in and say congrats n a fine looking new rifle! That is always a good day.
Regarding the top vs left side caliber stamps, on the Model 1892’s the change occurred during 1908 and stretches over a 43,000 long serial number range. That said, it is still possible to find groups of rifles into 1909, 50,000 SN’s later, with top flat stamps. And just to make things even more confusing I have rifles in my data manufactured during 1913, 300,000 SN’s later with top flat caliber and barrel address stamps!
