While I was working on my research for the Model 1892 and Model 61 surveys I am working on I stumbled on a small auction in Ohio that had a bunch of "stuff" and 4 or 5 guns for sale. This Model 52 was just sitting there saying "you need me Michael." Now I only have one other 52 and never really go looking for them. This one was in exceptional condition and that big old scope is an absolute attention getter. I put a very reasonable top bid on it and ended up not even getting that high. Score one for research!! Shooting to follow once I get back from a month long road trip to the north country.

Michael. That rifle probably shoots some seriously tight groups. Looking forward to seeing the results. Cool gun.

I finally remembered to grab this rifle and take it out to the ranch for a little shooting. The scope was almost off the paper to start with but I finally got it pretty close to dialed in. This is at 70 yards across the front "yard" out here. A bit more tweaking and it should be just fine. The trigger is a bit stiff though.

At least every time Antoinette gives me the look.
