If any of you fellers got 70 – 80K burning a hole in your pocket, have I got the clock for you! Fully automated via lever action. We can even match your alligator or snake skin boots to go with it.

I’m trying to recall if I’ve ever seen anything else so overextravagant in my life.

Have to agree with the last sentiment.  Maybe even up the expression a few degrees.  Besides, who of us have that kind of “loose money”?

I just love the fact that you spend 80K of your “Loose Money” and still have to make sure you wind your clock every 7 days. If I spend 80K on something, I expect it to wind itself. I guess I’m just not accustomed to the finer things in life.

You’re not thinking like a billionaire–all buyer has to do is hire a full-time clock-winder.

I hope it comes with a glass case or that clock is not going to last long when it gets dust in the workings.

Its for the gun collector that has everything.

Bob-

Yep, gets a little dusty in my gun room, vibratory case cleaner running in there now and casting furnace has been running most of the afternoon. I can safely say I don’t have everything. Just as safe to say I won’t buy this contraption when (OK, IF!) I do. It would probably be fun to watch for a minute or two.

Correction: the BILLIONAIRE that has everything.  Most serious gun collectors, I think, would find it too sickeningly bizarre to want it.

OTOH perhaps we can’t have too many Winchester clocks.

Something like this made up 100+ years ago would have caught my attention.  I biased against modern stuff.

If you get past the criticisms above, I think the basic idea and engineering of it is pretty awesome….no one here thinks it’s even the slightest bit cool? I like it, wouldn’t buy one probably unless I WAS a billionaire….but then again, if I win the lottery, I promise to buy one of these, rent a show table in Cody and just set it there, all alone…taunting you all…Laugh

As a hobby clock guy I find it surprising they put the balance wheel right on top which is the most delicate part of the clock unprotected. If it flops over the clock is toast.
