Yesterday the Wife made Me go out and buy a bunch of .22’s , and some ammo. What vintage is the red box of .22 W.R.F ammo. I am going to be the .22 king of Egmondville once I get the guns home from Ward’s auction, it takes a while. The gov’t thinks these little guns need to be processed and accounted for in order to get them out of the U.S. and in to Canada, I might try assassinating somebody with them You know.

Henry I need your wife to talk to mine! LOL! Nice group of 22’s .
Henry,
Congrats! You even got a nice 1890 gallery gun as well! I missed that one or I would have bid.

The early Winchester slide actions are addictive Henry, good haul of guns and ammo!
I made a deal on 7 Winchester 22s yesterday, but only one slide action (a 62a).
I’m a real sucker for deluxe 1890s and I read elsewhere that’s a rabbit hole you’re looking to go down – you’ll enjoy it I think.
Ya’ after I get a good solid frame I’ll be on the hunt for a nice deluxe ’90. Yes Bill the exchange rat right now is app. 40% plus Canadian taxes at 13% so they do get pretty pricey for Me. The ones I bought at auction are even worse as I also pay the auction fees and the import fees, plus freight, so right now a $1000.00 gun at auction costs Me at least $2,100.00 by time I get it home, so You understand My siuation. These .22 slide actions are a whole new endeavor for Me so I have a lot to learn about them.

WOW! With all those fees, that has to hurt.
But you’ll chalk it up to do what ya gotta do to get the nice ones. With all the neat things you’ve done, just part of enjoying what you’ve earned. You sure know how to do it and you’re doing it well. It sure pays to listen to your wife.
Maybe the rest of us will learn someday.
Very nice Henry.

Nice score, Harry! Almost had to change computers to pick out the gallery guns. Looks like you have indeed gone down a rabbit hole, enjoy the journey!
