Hi guys

We are always looking for good articles from our membership for The Winchester Collector.

A number of you have valuable experiences to share from collecting many of the different models, especially those that don’t get a lot of coverage.  Our readers will undoubtedly be grateful to hear from you.  The subject of an article could be broad or very specific to certain configurations or even components.

Publishing some of the more informative topic threads found here on this forum has also been suggested in the past.  Any suggestions on specific threads would be appreciated.

Great images are always a plus, and we can help you with that too.

Thanks again!

Brad;

  If you look at the Summer 2006 edition of the Collector you’ll find an article I wrote about an historical Winchester 1866 Carbine. I’ve done additional research over the years on this firearm. I’ve collected more historical information and would like to submit another article with the new information found. If interested please let me know and I’ll submit the new article for your examination and hopefully your approval.

Thank you, L.F. Nirenberg ( Apache, #2576 )

From what I’ve read about your follow-up research on this carbine I’d certainly be interested in reading more about it. I enjoyed reading the first article in the archives. I’ve enjoyed reading about this period of history over the last several years and the story of this carbine will add a new perspective.

Brad, Mike;

    I’m in the process of putting together the two parts of the article and gathering the relevant photos. When all the parts are collated I’ll submit it to you for examination, and hopefully an article in the Collector.

Thank you, Larry N. (apache # 2576)
