Hi guys. Long story short, my M94 (made in 1975) is chewing up casings. With no cartridge in, the action is smooth. However, when loaded, it is smooth right up until the cartridge is about to enter the barrel at the end of the action. I have traced the roughness and scrapes on the casing to the extractor, which doesn’t seem to have any give or movement (I believe it should?)
How would I go about removing and cleaning this part? I know there is a pin, but it seems that the hole in mine is empty (can shine light through). Thanks for the help!
Alec
Where is the scraping exactly on the case? If its on the side of the case, you could have a burr in the chamber right where the extractor rides in the cut. put a empty case in the chamber all the way and see if it leaves a mark. Otherwise the extractor is scratching the case as it goes over the rim.
