I’m resurrecting a 44 cal 1892 rifle that is missing the right side cartridge guide and they are unavailable from the usual sources. Does anyone know if the guide from a Miroku 1892 will fit? Gunparts Corp has them in stock. Otherwise, any leads on a replacement would be appreciated.
Not sure that a Miroku cartridge guides will interchange–Have my doubts.
Your best bet would be to keep looking for an original cartridge guide via Numrich, homestead parts, gunbroker, or ebay. One will turn up sooner or later.

A related side note to my question. I was in a local gun shop recently and they had a takeoff barrel from a Miroku Model 1873. Out of curiosity, I brought over a spare stripped Model 92 receiver I have and screwed on the barrel. It threaded on easily and looked like it would have torqued up nicely. Now, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people on the internet say those barrels won’t fit an original Winchester because the threads are metric. Guess not.
