I acquired a Model 54 several years ago. It was originally in 22 Hornet. The previous owner rechambered it for a wildcat. I sent a chamber cast off to Hornady, and they told me that the new chambering was in 22 Lovell High power which is similar to 219 Zipper Improved. They made dies for that chambering, and I formed brass and loaded and shot it. I’ve had about all the fun with doing that that I can stand! Is there anything that I can do to get this rifle back to shooting a regular caliber round. I love the looks of the 54 and want to use it. The bolt face has been opened up from 22 Hornet to accept a 30-30 sized case rim.
Thanks for suggestions.

Considering what it must have cost you to have those custom dies made, it would make little sense to spend more money converting it to some other, non-original, caliber. The Lovell is still a potent varmint cartridge, so why not sell it to a varmint hunter, & use the proceeds to buy another 54?
