Just got this rifle the other day. It shot awesome groups but the last one or two cartridges barely went into the elevator. I’m pretty confident the magazine spring is weak. It’s got a 26 inch barrel. Do they come in different lengths or to you cut to match the oem? Where is the best place to get one? Before I buy I’ll confirm the magazine tube and follower are working correctly. That’s 5 shots at 50 yards with my reloads. I’ll take that.

If you need one buy a new spring from Homestead but first remove the mag plug and check that you don’t have dented tube restricting the follower or spring or a broken spring. The other thing that does happen is if someone damaged the original tube they might of used a tube from a 24″ gun (easier to find) to replace it and you have 2″ at the breech end that the forearm wood is acting as the tube but is larger in diameter and rougher. If everything looks good you can always stretch the spring some and try it. You can always buy a new one.
