Folks,
Just discovered that “unread” flags/notices are posting in two places, and they don’t always agree with each other. First, for some time I have been calling up the main headers (such as “rifles” or “.22 rimfires”) and it then lists those topics that have posted and I have not read them. All was OK with the world. Then I just found that there are another set of “unread” flags/notices below the main headers in the listing of “recently updated topics”. Those new flags sometimes are the same as the ones above, but seem mostly to be new and ones that did not post in the main topic headings as new. I commented on a thread by Steve and Burt (no, not Bert) that I was lost, only to find more of their comments below that kind of straightened out what they had been saying. Pretty darn hard to keep up with the system posting new topics in two different and disagreeing locations! My take, at least!

Is there a way to acknowledge they have been so they return to main index?
Happens if you’re not logged in. Are you sure the system hasn’t “disconnected” you? I never log-out deliberately, but every few days the system does it automatically. But maybe I’m blaming the system unjustly–could be the Russians up to their old tricks.
I will generally log out. Not home most of the time so figure no reason to be. I will go thru and read them especially ones I’ve posted to, but then they just stay there. anyway guess it doesn’t matter, never will figure out these computer machines. I just dont care to read them all and those stay and make page longer, can I delete those or move them up to main menu, if thats what its called?
