I’m getting the above topic notice in a green box with a red “X” in it that fades out when I open a post. It goes away and I can proceed as normal. It just started yesterday.
I just returned from Denver, so maybe related to server change from travel wifi sites to my home wifi ?
Bill
I am getting it also, it started a day or two ago for me too.

It is at 438 now, something is seriously wrong.

It has jumped up to 453 in the last 5 minutes from 438 and it STILL shows me as being online even though I am not logged in. Something VERY screwy going on……

It looks like it was a DNS attack.

Well that sucks, can we counter-attack?
Glad we are back online.

I couldn’t get online all day. I tried two different computers and my cell phone. Kept getting a 504 error “gateway timed out”.

Glad it’s back up. Agonizingly slow day at work and a little WACA forum therapy would have been welcome.
Ok, here is the official answer to what was up from our IT technical guru;
“It took a bit, but I was able to track down the source of the issue. I believe that when the web host become full this morning, the MySQL database server would not run. At this point, some forum information became corrupted in a database table. When the site space was cleared up and the site was relaunched, the corrupted database info caused the forum software to make continuous requests to the database server that would never be answered. The continuous requests stole up all of the resources on the server and brought the site to a screeching halt.
I had to determine the source and get it repaired. I have managed to make the necessary repairs and the site is now running quickly and smoothly once again.”
The space issue has been resolved by a server upgrade and deletion of some obsolete but very large old backup files.
All should be well for some time to come.

I’m not getting any email notifications when someone posted to a forum I subscribed to so I checked and all my subscriptions have been cleared. I tried to save new ones and it will not save them . I get the momentary green box with “Null” and a red X in it.
