I have asked for this when they were coming up with ideas for the new site here. As I understand every time you go online your login is stored in a cookie on your computer and the site can set the amount of time the cookie is good for. when you use banking site they set them very short so if you walk away from your computer without logging off it will timeout shortly. I don’t know if there is a limit on how long a cookie can be good for. Once it expires you have to log in again. What you can do is use a browser that remembers your user name/password for you so you don’t have to. You would still have to log in again but it will fill in your username / password for you. It’s a real bummer when you write a long post and then find out your not logged in. if you catch it you can copy the post to the clip board and login then paste it back into the reply box.

Use a password storage add-on which is available for your browser. I use one with Firefox and it is a great timesaver plus I don’t have to remember nearly one hundred different passwords, which one must do now due to all the online hacking.

Just use 1234 or “password” for all your web sites. Its a lot easier to remember.Bob
That’s the code to my luggage!!! How did you guess it so easily?
I guess I’ll have to tell my secretary to change it to 5678!!! I don’t know how I’m ever going to remember that one, but will have to try.

P.S. Space Balls is a good movie. 😉
