Due to the cost of hositing our own server and the space limitations for large image files, only dues paying Association members can upload photos directly from their PC. But other Forum members can still post images to a third party web site such as Photobucket or Facebook, then post them on the WACA forum using a link similar to the old forum. Except now it’s made much easier. Just click on the “Insert/Edit Image” button.
Then enter the URL of the previously stored image. A bonus feature allows you to specify a size during the process.
See the entire image posting link here.
And please let us know if this is not working for you. If you get error messages or are redirected to the wrong places, make sure to specify the exact message and the sequence you were following when you received the error or other failure.
Thanks!

This is the 2nd or 3rd time in the last month and a half I’ve commented on a post that I can’t upload images directly and do not seem to have permissions associated with being a WACA member. To the very best of my knowledge I’m a paid WACA member through 2014.

Or maybe it is another case like Bob experienced.
Michael,
I had the same problem with posting pictures and they found I had 2 identities in the membership data base when they were merged and it confused the new forum. It took some serious digging to find and fix it. Contact Mike Hager or post the problem in the bug forum.

And if you look at the Members list on page 143 there I am listed as a Member. But I can’t post photos, create a signature, or receive notices of topics which I have posted in even after I choose the “Subscribe” button.
Can somebody get this fixed???

After thinking back about how my problem, It started when I joined back in the 90’s to get the Collector magazine and then years later when I wanted to get on the forum I forgot what my username/password was and my email address had changed. So I started a new username with a new email address, that is where my membership got screwed up. Mike had to find my original membership information and when he did I could sign in but not under 1873man, I would have to use my old email address as my username and I would have 0 post history so they had to get the computer guys to go into the database and manually make 1873man the paid member with all the posting benefits.
Mike will need your full name, any email address you have used and your membership number.

I just received this from Georgia Hill the Association secretary:
Michael,
Your membership number is 7834. Records show that you have a Life Membership.
To Michael Hager: Can we please get this (I can’t post photos, create a signature, or receive notices of topics which I have posted in even after I choose the “Subscribe” button.) cleared up??

Your member qualified account is under the log-in name your e-mail @mayneansmertz.com.
I have forwarded this information to the coding guys to get it fixed behind the scenes.
I’ll let you know when it is resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience, I know it is frustrating but we’ve still got a lot on our plates in the whole scope of new web site features and forum features that just naturally occur when you start a project like this from scratch.
Thank you for your patience, we’ll get it working soon.

I want to extend a special and heart felt “thank you” to Mike Hager, Georgia Hill, and Rob Kassab for there help and attention in getting things up and running for me. I truly do appreciate there efforts in trying to make this a better place to hang out and share our hobby amongst all of us. We all invest a LOT of time and cold hard cash and it is nice to have an outlet where we can socialize, learn more, and respectfully communicate amongst ourselves for the betterment of our hobby and the introduction of other future collectors.
Keep up the good work. To my fellow members and collectors, take a deep breath and keep plugging away at it. I am certain it will get simpler and more efficient for you.
Happy Thanksgiving
