Was watching the tv show Mountain Men a few days ago.First time I have watched it for quite awhile.The old fellows who I watched in the past were not there.Whole new group of characters .Mike from Alaska looked to be carrying a Winchester Model 71 rifle.Nice to see a mountain man carrying a lever action.To me, a lever rifle and the wilderness seem to go together like meat and masked potatoes .
The other fellows from what I could see ,were all toting bolt guns.

The “old fellows” were mostly loners, at least while they were in the bush; this new generation can’t get along without their girl friends. “Mountain Men” who are called “love”?

First time I have watched the show in quite sometime.Even then ,I just caught the last part of one episode.From what I saw, Mike had only a dog with him and was on his way to meet the float plane, that was to take him out of the bush.
